What vehicles do you accept?

Most roadworthy, registered vehicles with a clean title: sedans, bakkies, SUVs and light commercial vehicles. Bring it in and we'll assess it on the spot.

How much can I borrow?

Generally up to 25% of your vehicle's assessed value. The exact offer depends on the make, model, condition and our in-person assessment.

Are there any other fees?

Yes, a 5% once-off admin fee applies to all loans, on top of the monthly interest. It's added once at the start of the loan and isn't recharged on rollovers.

Do I have to hand over my car?

Not with Pawn & Drive. You keep driving it with a tracker fitted. With Pawn & Park, your vehicle is parked securely at our premises for the loan term.

Why do you need my registration book?

Ownership is transferred to Wilshare Pawnshop as security for the loan, the same way a bank holds a bond over a house. It secures the loan rather than transferring it for good, and it comes back to you once you settle.

When do I get the cash?

Once the Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS) has completed the ownership transfer. This is usually quick, but timing can vary.

What happens if I can't pay in 30 days?

Pay at least 40% of the outstanding amount to roll the balance into the next month. Interest is charged again on the rolled-over balance.

What's the maximum rollover?

A loan can be rolled over for up to 3 months. By the end of month 3, the full outstanding amount must be settled to reclaim your vehicle and avoid forfeiture.

What documents do I need?

Your Omang (or valid ID), the vehicle registration book, and proof of address. Our team will confirm anything additional when you visit.
